O-oh my goodness! I'm s-so sorry Kyou-kun! I-I accidentally dropped the Dreambery and--

Um, I just wanted... to, um...

[A groan and then click!]

[Kyou's voicemail take three!]

Er, um, h-hello Kyou-kun.

[Takes a big breath before continuing.]

I hope you're doing well with your training. And, I hope you've been eating properly.

I've read before that a martial artist's diet is also a very important part of their training! And--

Um, it said that they should eat lot of protein and that... [Trailing off, saying this mostly to herself but it can be still be heard.] Oh, did it say to eat vegetables too? Or was it oats and wheats?

[Whoops. Lost her train of thought there. And trying to get back on track now.

Have a nervous laugh.] A-anyway, Shishou-san and I are doing just fine. We have been fixing up the dojo. It's coming along nicely! We might try to paint it this afternoon.

[If there was one thing that Kyou was grateful for with this trip he's taken on his own, it was the privacy.

The privacy to replay this lone piece of voicemail over and over to himself. To see and smile on his own as Tohru stumble in a way that only seemed endearing when she did it.

He felt guilty. Torn due to his feelings for the girl and the belief that he could never really care for anyone without losing them in some way or another... Torn knowing that something like this just wouldn't work out for him.

He smiled again, playing it once more. And once more. And once more.

And each time, as he watched her from the other end of the line, he never pressed reply. Nor did he ever intend to. Not just yet.]
